Applications & Advantages – NEXA OMNI Panic Exit System with Mortise Lock

  • Purpose:
    Designed for areas requiring an emergency exit handle while maintaining controlled or restricted entry access from outside.

  • Functionality:
    When locked with a key, the panic bar remains active from the inside, allowing easy exit at all times, but entry from outside requires a key.
    When unlocked, the door operates freely from both sides.

  • High Security:
    This system uses a built-in mortise lock, providing much higher security than standard lockable handles.
    Unlike traditional lever locks that can be forced open by breaking the handle, the concealed mortise design prevents any access to the latch mechanism, ensuring full protection.

  • Compatibility:
    Ideal for metal-framed glass doors or decorative raised-panel doors where flat-touch panic bars cannot be installed.
